Privacy Policy
Last updated: November 3, 2026
Selves is a trading name of Ray Amjad LTD (Company Number 14506459, United Kingdom). This Privacy Policy explains what personal data this website collects and how we handle it. The site does one thing with personal data: it takes your request for access to Selves.
What we collect
- Your access request. When you send the “Run a simulation” form: your first and last name, work email, company, and, if you give them, your role and what you would simulate.
- Your question. If you typed your own question into the crowd at the top of the page, we send it with your request, so we know what you wanted to ask.
- Request details. With each request we record the time, the country your connection comes from, your browser’s user agent (browser, version and operating system), the page you came to us from, and the page the form was on.
Apart from the hosting and analytics described below, we store nothing about you until you send the form. A question you type into the crowd stays in your browser unless you then send a request.
How we use it
We use your request only to review it and reply to you about access to Selves, and to understand which questions and sources bring people to us. A person reads every request. Your details are never sold, rented, or disclosed to third parties for their own marketing. We do not send a newsletter, and we do not add you to a mailing list.
Third‑party services
- Cloudflare: website hosting and storage. Cloudflare serves the site, so it processes your IP address and each request you make. Access requests are stored in Cloudflare’s database service (D1). See Cloudflare’s privacy policy for details.
- Cloudflare Web Analytics: counts page views. It sets no cookies and does not identify or track you across sites; it records the page, the referring site, your browser and country, in aggregate.
- Slack: when a request arrives, an alert with your name, work email, company, role, what you would simulate, your question and your country is posted to our team’s Slack. See Slack’s privacy policy for details.
Cookies
This website sets no cookies, and neither does our analytics.
Legal basis for processing
Legitimate interest: replying to a request you chose to send us, and understanding how visitors find the site. You can ask us to stop at any time.
How long we keep it
- Access requests: kept for 24 months from the day you send them, then deleted automatically. If you become a customer, we move what we need into our customer records.
- Slack alerts: kept under our Slack workspace’s message retention settings; we delete yours on request.
- Hosting logs: Cloudflare keeps short-lived logs of requests to the site for a few days.
Your rights
You may ask for a copy of, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by writing to privacy@selves.dev. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
International transfers
Cloudflare and Slack may process your data outside the United Kingdom, including in the European Economic Area and the United States. Where required, those providers use appropriate safeguards.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. If we make material changes, we will update the date above.
